the beretta shared a platfrom with only the corsica, one of the few non shared models. pontiac lost it with the names, not all gm berettas own :D but a 3.4 DOHC wont fit, dont even think about it. go with a 3400 for ease and modest power, and a l67 (3800sc) for real power. sorry about that, i need to get the facts staight. oh, this beretta does suck, as with all rice |

I used to drive GM's, had a cavalier with the 2.0 4 banger and an s-10 with a 2.8 (the 3.1 is the same block as the 2.8 by the way, just punched out) and they both sucked, the 2.0 was slow and the 2.8 warped the aluminum heads twice, plus i blew the 700 r4 granny tranny in the s-10. The berettas had front end suspension\steering issues along with most every front wheel drive POS gm has made. The only cars ive had any luck with that were GM were my 84 caddy and my 62 Belair. Hence, my love of mopar..... |

man you been having really bad luck... my bush buggy cavalier has 400,000 kms (average round here is 120,000) and the 2.8l still is running on strong... and hell... i rev the shit out of it... even the previous owner did it... and it still goes.
btw... ive had bad luck with mopar myself... i had an 84 charger (little omni based car) and the piece of crap's tranny was put in drive... but on the highway it shifted itself into reverse (dunno how?!) and i almost stuffed it... and i also owned an omni too... tranny blew up... |
