I think u FUCKING ricecops are just jealous cause your fucking hillbilly big ass pickup trucks and cars that are slow as hell. Most of these cars run faster than camarhos and ruststangs like the new focus hitting 7.2@172 mph. That explains why they made a movie about rice instead of fucking gay ass hillbilly rides like u guys cause u dont have a life except to get jealous over something fast that u can't have. later hillbillys

Wanna hear a real Bullshit story? Ok well the manger of the store I work at drives a Cavalier (complete with Dale Earnheart sticker no less)....one day he told us this story about his freinds Drag Cavalier that runs 4's, he had a 4 foot wheelier bar on it but it kept flippin' over so he had to put an 8 foot one on it...... Okay now let's examine the overwhelming amounts of stupidity in this statement: 1st-A car would have to be a full top-fueler to get into the 4's. 2nd-Cavaliers are front wheel drive! why does it need a wheelier bar or flip over? 3rd-If it did flip over multiple times it would be well fucked, so how come he still races it... 4th-It wouldn't flip over cause a 4 foot wheelier bar would keep anything down, unless it was glued on.
One time the same guy told me I should sell my Firebird and buy an Supra so I could "outrun everything in this town on 4 cylinders" yeah I don't think a Supra will outrun that Red 2000 Vette down the street, or my freinds 57' Chevy, to |

name a few. I told him I might as well tattoo Deusche bag on my forehead cause it would be a lot quicker than selling my Firebird for a Supra. |

Supra's can be made insanely fast howver stock i don't think it would take a vette. i have seen a 6 second cavalier but oh wait it was a no shit drag car the only thing cavalier was the sheet metal. The manager of the store is a complete tool. I also don't understand the wheelie bar thing on FWD cars i have seen that at the strip before. why is beyond my comprehension |

the point behind wheelie bars on FWD draggers is to minimize (ie completely eliminate) weight transfer. They don't keep em on the ground, they just keep the tires pressed down real hard. and a 4-second cavalier is bullshit, unless he was referring to 1/8th mile times, and even that would be basically a full out funny car. |

Yeah, but the real truth is that anything can be made fast...with enough money. To me it's about doing it with some style and realism, as in no Fast and The Furious bullshit for me, which that guy is a big fan of. Course I also think he is a fan of sex with other men so.... |

The only good supras have turbo 6's... Still, wouldn't trade a Firebird for one. |

While Supra's maybe be quick I don't think they compare in looks to a Firebird, to me most of the years of Firebirds are just beautifully designed, but this is my opinion. I like the front end of a Supra, but the rear is enough to make me sick, it looks horrible to me. Although it's a quick 4 cyl. I don't think you can beat the roar and feel of eight cylinders. If I where going to get an import I would go with a nice RX-7, to me it's one of the best looking cars to come from Japan, much nicer than a Supra. |

No argument from me about the firebirds, love the styling. If I HAD to buy an import, it would be the new lambo, or maybe a skyline. other then that, not much else appeals to me. |

Hey madmax, you forgot 'two lane blacktop'. I vaguely remembered seeing it when I was little, and just rented it from blockbuster about two weeks ago. There's not much dramatic content, but it's cool to see how street racing used to be. |

As I said, I could go on all night naming movies about REAL cars... Stroker Ace, the Cannonball Run movies and, yeah, Two Lane Blacktop come to mind... but my point was made. |

Peggy Sue? Somehow this doesn't look like what I'd expect a girl to write. But no matter. I just wanted to say that if someone had tried to make The Fast & The Furious primarily about muscle cars, they'd get laughed out of the theater - by the muscle car fans. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing when I saw the guy inexplicably blow his floorboard off the Eclipse with nitrous. I may be a Georgia hillbilly, but I can certainly tell that movie didn't represent cars in the real world. The reason they made a rice movie is because anyone dumb enough to spend $100 on a muffler that flows like a cork in your tailpipe but has a 4" stainless tip is more likely to see such a movie repeatedly. |

For once, I'd like to see a car movie that is respectful to the gearheads out there, and doesn't try to pass of special FX as things a real car can do. Oh, and I'd like to see realistic consequences for actions you take. I.E., sure, a 400 HP car can jump a 50ft. chasm in the road, but when it comes down on the other side, it will take damage. I'd much rather see a car chase movie with a premium placed on speed and competent drving than mindlessly smashing your way through stuff |

note: IN Bullitt The cars are actually going 100+ in the city streets of San Fran! If you watch the movie closely during the chase scene you will notice that they pass the same group of cars on different streets... those cars were they to keep people from walking out into the street and getting hit by a Mustang driven my Steve McQueen@ 100+!
