The PT Cruiser doesn't look too terrible. Lose the banner across windshield, the neon lighting underneath and the fart can that it more than likely has in the rear even though you can't see it and it could be decent LOOKING, as far as power, eh...no. From what I read a few years back when they were first going to debut, there isn't much room in the engine bay to install a V8. They definetly look pretty cool overall because of that semi retro hot rod look, but would be way better if you could actually put some real muscle under the hood.

My mistake ... 220 horsepower/245 lb/ft of torque. 5 speed manual standard, 4 speed auto optional. $23,000. |

Whoever owns the red Grand Prix should be beaten with that ugly ass spoiler. Such a discgrace to a pretty decent looking car. |

#8 My uncle works for Chrysler, a couple years ago they were doing some kind of promo deal for a magazine or car show or something and they somehow swapped in a 8.0 litre Viper V10 in a cruiser, then they built it up with a high performance intake, heads, exhaust, supercharger etc., He claimed it had something like 800 horsepower. I'm almost positive he was bullshitting me, but then I saw something similar in the November 2001 issue of Popular Hot Rodding (I think). There was a Cruiser with a Turbocharged, blown 440 Magnum or a similar engine on the cover. Crazy Shit. |
