The Sentra SE-R easily outperforms any other Sentra on the road. |

and so is a shitload of torque. it can run with a Z28 camaro, and definatley has a shorter stopping distance because of the decreased weight. But still, i'd take a camaro over this. gotta love the T-tops |

The factory spoiler is a bit too large, and I'd have to remove the stupid "R" crap just out of principle, but otherwise it is a nice ride from the factory! |

well this looks like a Spec V, and it runs a 15.12 quarter mile. The camaro im thinking of (a 1996 Z28 with a 5-speed trasmission, mine) runs it in about 14.87 seconds, or so i've heard......i have never verified. but i dont want to get into any rice vs. american car debates. i think good cars can come from both continents. |

#28, That's high for a LT1 Camaro time. They're 6-speeds btw. Newer Camaros with the LS1 (98-02) do mid 13s so I wouldn't even put the SE-R Spec V in the same class. |

The only thing I was able to find was the 0-60 for a 2002 SE-R Spec V. It's 7 seconds. Ouch. A 93-97 Camaro Z28 will do it in 5.7 sec and a 98-02 Z28 will do it in 5.4. |

#31, No but it's not like puting a GTR bage on a mustang or a type R badge on a civic. |

where did you get 5.4 seconds from? the 1998 SS Coupe, with 320hp stats:
Performance Top Speed 257.5 kph / 160.0 mph 0 - 60 mph 5.5 seconds 0 - ΒΌ mile 13.9 seconds taken from http://www.supercars.net
unless i'm mistaken, the trim levels for 1998 were base, Z28 and SS. where did you get 5.4 seconds from? |

Just so you guys know the Sentra SE-R Spec-V has a 2.5 liter engine (175hp/185lbs) and does the 1/4 in low 15s stock and as for the SE-R badging on Nissan subcompacts, it's been around for over 10 years it's really not in the same class as the camaro... it's quick (fastest NA 4 cylinder/4door) but not a sports car like the camaro

yeah, you gotta remember that above all, this is a friggin Sentra for crying out loud. Although it's likely a fun, nimble, sprightly car, this is hardly something worth pitching arguments over. |

#33, Sorry, make that 5.2 seconds......look here.

Plus, the Z28 and the SS are closer than you might think (especially from 98-99). Stock LS1 Z28s have been shown to have 345hp and 365 ft. lbs of torque just like a stock 97-03 Vette (non Z06) has. They were just underrated to make the Vette look better. |
