I'd be SO UPSET if this happened to my baby. It looks like they have probably put a lot of money into that truck aftermarket, not to mention how much the price of admission is ... tinted windows, driving lights, chrome brush guard, etc. They may not need it all, but it sure is a waste to have it smashed to smithereens. |

that was a station wagon, to qualify as an suv it has to have a lift kit. (as defined by the government) and it didnt look like it had any ground clearence |

#7, The fuck? So if I put a lift kit on my Mirage it would be an SUV?!
...and the government defines vehicles as such: If the body of a vehicle is a certain height (from rocker panels to roof), and has a passenger cabin that can be folded or made completely flat from behind the front seats to the tailgate, it's a truck.
I don't know what the hell you are smoking, but ground clearance has jack shit to do with how the government classifies a vehicle. |

#7, it didn't have any ground clearance because it has enough snow on top to crush the roof. It's what is sold in the US as a Lexus LX470 ... it's an SUV. |

#8, SUV is something made up by the marketing department of the automobile industry. As far as the government goes, the term SUV has no legal ramifications. Passenger car or light truck does, though and most SUVs are light trucks. |

#12, I agree with you completely. You didn't hear the term SUV until the '90s I believe. I have an '86 K5 and I never heard them referred to as an SUV. Thank God for small miracles! |
